Infiniti QX30 Concept North American Debut at NYIAS

Infiniti QX30 Concept While it’ll still be some time before we see a production model QX30 Concept come to come to fruition, that doesn’t mean we can’t dream along with Infiniti as they embark on a quest to build what they hope will be a premium compact crossover for the masses. Infiniti QX30 Concept Making its North American debut this coming weekend at the New York International Auto Show, Infiniti will be taking styling cues from the existing coupe, along with the seating position and all-wheel-drive of a crossover, to provide a vehicle that’ll be as buttery smooth while city cruising as it will be on a weekend road trip. Infiniti QX30 Concept From a visual perspective, the QX30 Concept is wide and thick, with exceptional looking body lines. The front end is mean looking, and the large 21-inch wheel and tire setup tell us that aftermarket combos of the same size can be had once the car finally makes it way to showroom floors. Infiniti QX30 Concept There’s talk of a variety of powertrains as well – either gasoline or diesel – and depending on that preference, would certainly influence whether the crossover becomes sportier or more efficient for the buyer. Infiniti QX30 Concept If it doesn’t seem obvious, the QX30 is aimed specifically towards Gen X and Gen Y consumers, as Infiniti feels those potentials will gravitate more towards a crossover that has a unique look and provides a superior product versus anything that’s simply too big or powerful. Infiniti QX30 Concept With a slightly higher ride height, there’s improved visibility for city driving and parking, something Infiniti feels will resonate perfectly to those living an “urban lifestyle”. Hipsters, this means you’ve got strong potential here. Infiniti Q30 Concept   (Images: courtesy of Infiniti)
