Formula Drift 2015 Round 6 Recap [Gallery]
YEE-HAW! That sure 'nuff was a rowdy Round 6 in the big ol' state of Texas. Formula Drift took last year's track layout, smacked it up, flipped it down and reversed it. Though it was a challenge for some drivers to get used to, it brought for more excitement during the main competition. If there was any driver who got the most comfortable it was Scion Racing's Ken Gushi, who went five out of the nine total 'One More Time' (OMT) runs. The Gush had a least one OMT in reach round, except the Air Force Top 32 and the Go Pro Finals, where he won Second place just behind Yokohama Tire's Masashi Yokoi. NITTO Tire's Odi Bakchis lost a wheel stud, taking him out earlier than expected; will he be able to pull off a miracle and still have a crack at the championship? Everyone wanted to see how NITTO Tire's Vaughn Gittin Jr. was after taking a nasty crash during practice, and thanks to a properly designed car, was able to walk away relatively unharmed. As we take a small break before Irwindale, all eyes are now on Scion Racing's Fredric Aasbo, who leads the overall standings with a commanding 80 point lead. Be sure to catch the final round at the House of Drift this coming October!
