Formula Drift 2015 Round 5 Recap [Gallery]
Brewing up Seattle's Best at the Evergreen Speedway during Formula Drift Round 5 - from rain to wrecks, it was truly a battle to remember. Vaughn Gittin Jr. went through a gauntlet of NITTO Tire teammates with Odi Bakchis in the Top 32 and Mad Mike Whiddett in the Top 16 before falling to the eventual winner, Scion Racing's Fredric Aasbo, in the Great 8. Speaking of winners, with Odi Bakchis and Ryan Tuerck both eliminated in the Top 32, Aasbo defeated Get Nutz Laboratory young gun driver Alec Hohnadell in the Finals and has taken a commanding lead for the championship with only two rounds remaining. But the story of the weekend had to be Falken Tire teammates Justin Pawlak and Tyler McQurrie, turning their Great 8 tandem battle into a demolition derby. In the end Justin Pawlak, who would finish the event in 3rd Place, emerged from the wreckage yelling out to the Formula Drift fans, "Are you not entertained!?" (Well maybe he didn't really say that, but he should have.)
